TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF?

I grew up in a very active family and studied Sport and Recreation Management at Lincoln University. I have been working at Canterbury Cricket for the past 5 years, more recently as the Participation Manager, and have been lucky enough to deliver cricket at multiple Halberg events. I started All Abilities Cricket in 2021 and have seen huge growth in both the programme and the young people involved.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU THE MOST IN YOUR WORK?

I love seeing Tamariki and rangatahi overcome challenges and grow in confidence, it is rewarding for me to be a small part of their journey.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FUN FACTS OR UNIQUE EXPERIENCES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE?

I spent a year at a college in America on a football scholarship.

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT, BOTH PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY?

I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to try and enjoy sport and recreation, regardless of their background. There are so many benefits of being involved in sport and feeling like part of a team and I want to help young people with disabilities experience this.

WHAT EXCITED YOU MOST ABOUT WORKING HERE AND BEING PART OF THE TEAM?

I am excited to learn from such an amazing team at Halberg and to help create supportive and inclusive environments in all that we do. I am looking forward to connecting with all the families in the Canterbury region and helping to make a difference in their lives.\

WHAT’S THE ULTIMATE “FEEL-GOOD” ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF WORK?

I enjoy walking and mountain biking in my spare time.
