We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the skills and passion to be able to drive positive engagement in the Counties Manukau Region.  The Halberg Foundation is an iconic charitable organisation, founded by Olympian Sir Murray Halberg in 1963, which aims to enhance the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders by enabling them to participate in sport and recreation.

This role will have a strong focus on the input and delivery of Halberg’s Maori programmes so the applicant will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience in Te Ao Maori to ensure strong engagement within the community. 

This role will work in the community to identify opportunities to engage in sport and recreation for young physically disabled New Zealanders.  You will deliver various Halberg programmes, including events, and build strong relationships throughout the community.  

You will need to be able to create, develop and maintain positive, sustainable relationships with families, schools, key stakeholders and partner organisations.  You will be confident in presenting and engaging with people in formal and informal situations, both inside and outside of the organisation.

This is an exciting and busy role so we are looking for someone who can deliver in a fast-paced environment, where using your initiative and being proactive is encouraged.  A resilient individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills is essential for success in this role.
