REGIONAL ADVISER – CANTERBURY & TASMAN
We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the skills and passion to be able to drive positive engagement in the Canterbury & Tasman Region. The Halberg Foundation is an iconic charitable organisation, founded by Olympian Sir Murray Halberg in 1963, which aims to enhance the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders by enabling them to participate in sport and recreation.
This role will work in the community to identify opportunities to engage in sport and recreation for young physically disabled New Zealanders. You will deliver various Halberg programmes, including events, and build strong relationships throughout the community. The role will involve travel across the region and, from time to time, throughout NZ.
You will need to be able to create, develop and maintain positive, sustainable relationships with families, schools, key stakeholders and partner organisations. You will be confident in presenting and engaging with people in formal and informal situations, both inside and outside of the organisation.
This is an exciting and busy role so we are looking for someone who can deliver in a fast-paced environment, where using your initiative and being proactive is encouraged. A resilient individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills is essential for success in this regional role.
This is a great role for someone who has a strong background and experience within the sport, education or health/disability sectors looking to take the next step. We are looking for that candidate who can show us their energy, drive and enthusiasm. This is a full-time role based in Christchurch and requires someone with a full driver’s licence. If you believe you are our person, we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. Closing date will be 17 November 2019.
