We are looking for a full-time Event Operations star to help deliver our major events. The Halberg Foundation is an iconic charitable organisation, founded by Olympian Sir Murray Halberg in 1963, which aims to enhance the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders by enabling them to participate in sport and recreation. Our vision is for an inclusive New Zealand.
This role will work predominantly on the Halberg Games and ISPS Handa Halberg Awards, as well as assisting our Advisers with their regional events. You will work with the wider team to ensure that the delivery of our events is professional, effective, and encompassing the wider objectives of the Foundation. You will need to be able to create, develop and maintain positive, sustainable relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and partner organisations.
This is an exciting and busy role so we are looking for someone who can deliver in a fast-paced environment where using your initiative is encouraged and being an effective operator is essential.
This is a great role for someone who has a good knowledge of NZ sports, and at least five years’ experience in major events or hotel / venue management. The role is based in Auckland.
