Make Play Possible
Every child deserves a chance to play. But for young people with physical disabilities, there are often barriers that stand in the way – cost, access, equipment and opportunity. At Halberg, we work hard to break those barriers. By joining the Halberg Club as a regular giver – or even making a one off donation – you’ll help us make sport and recreation accessible for all. Your support could provide adaptive equipment, inclusive event and life-changing experiences.
Meet Charlotte
Twelve-year-old Charlotte from Canterbury has built confidence and independence thanks to a grant from the Halberg Activity Fund for horse riding lessons. Charlotte has Cerebral Palsy and her horse-riding lessons have improved her muscle strength, dynamic balance and overall body posture.
“The strength that I have gained from the lessons and riding at the riding school has made such a difference and not just with my physical abilities but also my confidence, I am a lot braver now and I am prepared to attempt at a lot more things than I would have done before so thank you.”
